Branson Buys Way into Environmental Heaven

Fiji is Faraway Food

Images1Part of the green wave sweeping our national conscious is the idea of food miles. This is simply the amount of miles food travels from producer to consumer. Green thinkers stay close to home...beneficial on many levels. Try the food mile calculator (even though it is a British site, you get the idea): http://www.organiclinker.com/food-miles.cfm
Fiji Water is my peeve. Is water really better there? The bottle evokes tropical dreams however the calculator tells me that those bottles travel 10128 miles from Fiji to London. Carboninfo.org has launched the initiative in the UK. I could not find the US equivalent.
